District logo with 2026-2027 budget vote results

Voters approved the St. Regis Falls Central School District’s proposed 2026-27 budget by a vote of 80 to 15 on Tuesday, May 19.

The approved $10,532,356 budget represents an increase of $137,609, or 1.32%, over the current year with no increase to the local property taxes.

“We are grateful for the continued support from our community,” said Superintendent Denise Howe-Baker. “This budget allows us to realign resources to cut costs while preserving student programming and educational opportunities.” 

In addition to the budget proposition, voters approved a diesel school bus purchase, allowing the district to purchase a diesel-powered school bus at a cost not to exceed $152,847.87. The proposition passed by a vote of 78 to 17.

Voters also elected Eva Fye to the St. Regis Falls Central School District Board of Education. Fye received 86 votes. There was 1 write-in vote.
