THE COMMUNITY The St. Regis Falls Central School District is located in the western part of Franklin County. The School District is situated in a rural setting in the northern foothills of the Adirondack Mountains overlooking the St. Lawrence River Valley within close proximity to Lake Placid. Public services and shopping centers are located within a reasonable distance in the communities of Malone, Massena, and Potsdam. Montreal and the Canadian capital of Ottawa are both within one and one-half hours driving time from the District. Out-of-doors recreation opportunities abound; particularly hunting, fishing, golfing, skiing, and all outdoor winter and summer sports. Various specialized services on a county and regional level are available to residents of the District. Numerous colleges are within easy commuting distance. District residents take great pride in the curricular and co-curricular activities of the school and look upon the school as a community center. |
